Our communion service was awesome yesterday. I could feel the tangible presence of God in the place. We had planned and worked on how we would be able to serve communion in the theater and it worked out well. I had many people after the service thank me for it. That's the first time I have ever been thanked for leading a communion service. Man I love Riverstone Church. This is the best place to be.
We played Settlers of Catan again yesterday. It was brutal. We had a couple of casualties even before we started. My new friend Jeanne wanted to play and she came up to the house and unfortunately had an accident. I felt so bad for her. I did warn her though, that we are brutal with this game. Hope you are feeling better Jeanne. :) And then one person decided that the game wasn't going her way and took her marbles and went home. That's ok, we still love you G. Of course the cheater won. So I don't want to talk about it anymore.
I'm looking forward to the new series we are doing over the next few weeks. We're calling it Merger: Merging faith and finances. With the craziness of the financial sector in our country I thought it would be good to focus on finances from a faith perspective. We sometimes can get too wrapped up in the stock market and put our trust in things that will not last. So this should prove to be a fun series.
I'm helping a new couple move into their home today. They are moving up from MO and asked if I could help them move in. They are fellow AG people and I told them I would help. I have a few more people who said they would help too. So hopefully we can get them in their house today.
Unfortunately, my back is hurting me. I cleaned out my gutters Sat. and I twisted some muscles in my back lugging my ladder around. It stinking happens every time.
I think this is going to be one of the busiest weeks for me this year. It's crazy all the stuff I have to do this week. I just hope I can get it all done.
