Monday Morning Mantra

Well, I had a whirl wind weekend, that is for sure. We had Emma's 6th b-day party for the family and had 35 people over. It was an extremely busy and exhausting day. We are still cleaning up from the party.

Sunday was a mixed bag of emotions. I was very tired going into the morning service but we had an amazing time together taking communion. God's Spirit was present there and many were touched in a special way. Then we baptized 3 at the Claremont Indoor pool. I love doing baptisms.

Our amplifier decided to burn up just before service started. That was fun. So we didn't have any sound. The great thing is that God is good all the time. A great person who attends our church came up to me after the service and said, "I have a 100w amp with speakers. It's yours." I was blown away. I thanked him and we will be picking that up this week. GOD IS GOOD.

Been through a lot this past week and I am convinced more than ever that God has called me to Claremont. There is no other place I want to be. We have been called here to see peoples lives changed for God's glory. We will continue to do what we believe God has called us to do no matter what anyone thinks.

I am reminded of Jesus, when he was with his disciples, his mother and brothers wanted him to come out because they were sick and tired of what he was teaching and doing and wanted him to stop. And they would mock him and tell him to go public with his teachings since it is the truth. They did not believe him. Although Mary, treasured those things in her heart. It is an encouragment to me because Jesus experienced the sames things that we go through. He kept doing what he believed God called him to do, even though his family and the religious leaders and the governmental leaders opposed him.

I went over to a friends house last night. He had just bought Tiger Woods 09 for the Wii and hadn't tried it yet. So he invited me over to play it with him. It is very cool. I did whip his butt at it though. Don't know if I will be allowed back.

Let me say this one thing: I WANT SPRING TO ARRIVE!!!!!!! I am very sick of winter. Can't wait to get back out on the golf course.

We have gold courses open over here, Joe. It is already spring on the South Coast of England - all it takes is a short hop in a plane :)

Hey, you only won by about 100 points out of several thousand... not a true whipping by any means in my opinion but a clear win nonetheless! I am looking forward to playing with you again as it was a lot of fun and laughter was an important outcome, but you will not be able to block my signal as well next time big boy.

Hey, it doesn't say wide load for nothing. In my world, if I win by one point you got whooped up on. :)
