Place of obedience

Every week I meet with Jason and Beth, my worship leaders, and we discuss the service from the previous week and plan for future ones. We like to talk about the good, the bad and the ugly. We often talk about more stuff than that though. One thing we talk about often is God's call on our lives and how we came together in Claremont. We think it is amazing the God called us to a place none of us wanted to be.

Before I got here, I remember reading somewhere about how God calls us to a place of obedience. The Lord spoke to me about that and this call isn't just starting a church where peoples lives are changed forever but that it was a place of obedience for me. And God is still calling me and others to this place of obedience.

Now, there is no where on the face of the planet I would rather be than right here right now. As I stepped out in obedience to the call of God, He changed my heart towards Claremont. I do have to say though, that it is cold here, and I would love to go to Hawaii for a few weeks. But not to live. This is where God has me and this is where I will stay. I love Riverstone Church and our future together is amazingly bright. I can't wait to see what God has for us next.
