Man was I sick yesterday. I woke up with wicked nausea, chills, fever, and dizziness. I could barely get dressed to go to church. When I finally got there my legs and feet went numb. I couldn't move. I had to have Jon take me home. It was crazy. I feel better today but still a bit sick. I definitely missed being with the church yesterday.
I have been thinking about that scripture a lot lately in John 15:5 where Jesus says, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." It is a great reminder that I cannot do anything without first being in Christ. That I daily commune with him. That I am in constant contact with Him. That He remain my first love. It is so easy to get caught up in the work of the Lord and forget the Lord of the work. It is my prayer that I would seek to be more like Him and remain in him. Because He is the one that causes the fruit to grow. Not my personality, work ethic, money, time, or preaching ability. It is all based on my relationship with Him.
It is official, I am a facebook freak. I love that application. It is not like blogging, more like realtime catching up with people. It is very cool. I have talked to friends I have not seen in probably 15 years. I might try to do a Riverstone facebook page. That would be cool to catch up with all the people from church on a regular basis.
I heard that church was good yesterday. My team stepped up to the plate man. I trust them and knew they would do a good job. I had no worries. It's nice to know that if I have to step out the team can step up and get the job done. I love my team and I love Riverstone Church.
