I was looking through a store today and saw on a rack a glow in the dark Jesus. It was probably 1" tall and if you put it in water it grows 600%. This was not a Christian store either.
It is facinating to see how people respond to stuff like that. They seem to have no problem with Jesus being their "homeboy". People are really open to spiritual things today. I think when we come off as knowing it all and jamming the Bible down their throats they turn us off.
But if we are willing to listen and communicate with the unchurched I think we will find it very surprising the things they think about. I love hanging out with the unchurched. They don't pretend to be something they are not.
Too often when I am around Christians they seem to act like they are the know all and end all in Biblical interpretation. And that their interpretation is the right one. If you don't agree you are wrong and suspect of hellfire. I know that is a bit of hyperbole but unfortunately I have met more like that than not. All this to say, I might buy the glowing Jesus that grows in the water.
