Monday Morning Mantra

I am wiped out. Spent the whole week traveling. Went to Claremont a few times. Went to Conn. to do a wedding on Fri./Sat. And preached at a church in Manchester, NH Sunday morning and then traveled up to Claremont for our first info. meeting. Today I brought a friend of mine out to Portsmouth to pick up his new vehicle. I'm beat.

The Patriots are the best team ever in NFL history. So far anyway. 13-0. Yeah baby.

Got a bunch of new books I can't wait to dig into. Just got UnChristian in the mail today and I picked up Radical Reformission by Driscoll today also.

It should be fun to preach in Bethel, VT for the next three weeks. I'm looking forward to meeting that church since they will be in my section. Never really got a chance to hang with other churches in my section when I was pastoring in CT.

Emma is growing up too fast. She took a shower instead of a bath tonight and got out of the shower saying that is the best shower. I needed that. Too funny.

Still looking for a home. Found one I am interested in but the price sucks. We'll see.

Well, winter is definitely here. We have a bunch of snow on the ground but I noticed CT only had a dusting. Stink.

How did the initial meeting go? How many and of what maturity?

We had 10 show up. Most mature Christians in leadership positions in other churches. They have been waiting for someone to plant an AG church in Claremont for years but had the maturity to serve in other churches until then. Couple of people who were involved in church planting too.

I thought the meeting went really well. I did share about it over at my other blog.
