Monday Morning Mantra

I thought I would take a cue from some of my friends blogs and drop a few thoughts bouncing around my head.

Six Flags is the coolest place to bring a kid. As we were watching the Wiggles show, I was amazed at how engaged the kids were with the music and the props. I want our children's ministry to be that exciting.

God has made me and called me to be a church planter. I don't worry about much. I know God has been directing my path. I absolutely do not want to do anything else in this world but this.

Not everyone who says they want to help you or offers advice to you have your best interests in mind. Be careful who you listen to.

The Patriots are 3-0. Buffalo never had a chance. I smell another Superbowl this year.

Lisa and I have had the opportunity to visit a bunch of churches we have been wanting to see. All I can say is, I don't ever want to go back to church Inc. I can't wait to get started in Claremont.

Never underestimate the power of Satan. God is all-powerful, and all-knowing and everywhere at once but He does not force His will on anyone. Satan on the other hand is in the business of forcing his will. Two things: one, "God works all things together for good for those who Love God and are called according to His purposes." Two, God's will is not always done on earth. That is why Jesus taught us to pray that His will is done on earth as it is in heaven. People do Satans will just as much as we try to do God's will. Never underestimate the power of the devil.

Anyone want a cat? Our cat, dude, is the biggest pain in the butt in the world. We are definitely dumping him on someone. I think my sister said she wanted him.

I just read the funniest theological pick up line ever. "God is the Bread of Life and you are the butter." LOL

Interesting, my sermon title for this week was "Some People Give Bad Directions" on the topic of evaluating the advice and counsel we receive, knowing that not everyone has our best interests in mind....

Keith,

You know what is interesting? Craig Groechel deals with this subject concerning pastors but I have definitely seen what he says in people in the pew, so to speak. It is definitely a pride issue. This is the link. http://swerve.lifechurch.tv/

Hi there,

I just happened to hit your site as a result of looking at the earl creps site.

Sorry about your dreams of another super bowl appearance. As a colts fan since they moved to indy, there's just no way you guys can do it again. great team sure but "read my lips" when I say NO WAY. Thank God that everyone now knows what we always knew, there's no way that team was that good.lol

On the serious side, I have been very interested in church planting in New England. Would you be interested in some dialogue? Contact me at pray4fire@yahoo.com.

Thanks, Blessings, and I hope your team loses big this weekend ( in Christs love of course).

Andy,

Don't worry too much for me my friend. We are 3-0 and that will be 4-0 after this weekend. Indy has got theirs coming. ;) I'd be more than happy to talk with you. Blessings on you bro.
