Sorry I haven't blogged anything lately. My computer decided to seize up and crash. I had to reformat the computer and lost some of my info. Anyway here I am. I want to take a minute and give a shout out to those who are viewing my blog from Claremont. I want to take a moment and let you know what is happening with us.
We resigned our church four weeks ago and put our house on the market. We have been traveling to Claremont at least once a week looking at houses and will be up there tomorrow looking at some more. Our hope is to be moved out of our old house and into our new one by the latest end of July or mid Aug. It all depends on the sale of our home. Otherwise we are in limbo at this point.
Also, I will be attending a church planting bootcamp next week in Manchester, NH.
Once we are in Claremont and settled in I will be looking to reconnect with old friends and also make some new ones. The plan is to plant or start a new Assembly of God church. It will be very different from the one that existed. My main focus will be on building relationships with the community and reaching out to the unchurched. Evangelism will be the focus of starting the church. There is much more to share about the vision I believe God has given me but that will be shared later on.
It will take some time and energy to get this church off the ground. I will be looking for people who are not afraid of hard work and are willing to be used by God outside of their comfort zones. We will be building a community of people committed to fulfilling the purposes of God in their lives and the community. Feel free to leave comments or contact my sister Ginger Chan in Claremont to get some more information. God bless you and I am excited about this new adventure.
