Well, I stood behind the pulpit and preached for the last time. I turned out the lights at the church for the last time. I handed in all my keys and packed the rest of my boxes in the back of my truck. It is finished. I am officially a pastor without a pulpit. There is no turning back, church planting here I come. I will seriously miss everyone at SCWC. It was very emotional for everyone today. The place was packed out. They were very kind to me and said many words of affirmation. Thank God for them and I look forward to hearing good reports about the church. We laughed and cried today. Many people shared about God doing things in their lives through my ministry. That is the best part of all of this. God was glorified. They gave a wonderful dinner for my family after church and gave us some great gifts. I am sad to close this chapter of my life and feel like a man without a country. But very, very soon I will be too busy to think about such things. This will be a day I won't forget for a long time.
