He brought us through over 40 scriptures concerning salvation. He was questioning the way that salvation is presented in many churches today. He has a hard time believing that it is, just saying a prayer and your in. I'm not going to post a whole lot about what he said. This is definitely one of those topics that needs to be talked about, not so much written about. But here are a few things that I took notes on.
"If you were asked the question, 'How does a person get saved, converted, in, redeemed, etc...?' and you only had the Bible to answer the question...you would have lots of answers."
"Salvation is wholistic in nature"
"Jesus wants to save all of us." -refering to our make up as a person, body, spirit, soul
"My simple definition of salvation is when one begins to live in conscious union with God...it is not a formula or a mere affirmation but a change of identity." -Richard Rohr
Matt. 19; Luke 18:30
"Life in the age to come" - Hebrew "olam haba" which translates to "harmony with God"
"Eternal life is a quality of life"
