These are some things Rob Bell said during the first session. It was about the Eucharist. He talked about the body broken and the blood poured out. He suggested that we as ministers are a Eucharist to our churches. That when we give, preach and teach, that we give out of ourselves and become drained beyond just physical. That in essence we become broken and poured out for our churches. That we need to get away and be filled again.
"The church is the only organization that exists for it's non-members."
"The power of the Eucharist is in its weakness not its strength."
'The church is a Eucharist because you and I are a Eucharist."
Luke 5:16 - Jesus withdrew to lonely places. "Let the body be put back together and the blood be poured back in." Spiritual refreshing.
He also started talking about life rythms and that we need to figure out what ours is. What are the patterns of our life?
We should not seek to always have a resolution(conclusion) to our sermons. The real resolution is for people to go out and do and think about what we have preached.
