Finnis. Finally this week has ended. It has been a long and draining week. The heat and humidity was killer but we did have fun. We had about 25 kids the first night and then we had just over 30 kids the rest of the week. I had the priviledge of leading many of them in prayer to ask Christ to come into their hearts. It doesn't matter who leads them to the Lord, the important thing is that they hear the Word of God and give their lives to him. The messenger doesn't matter, the message does. It think they were more wired than ever because they got candy in every class. Plus their snacks were sugar charged. I know the kids had a blast. Tomorrow we will have our closing ceremonies and give all the kids their prizes and certificates.
I have to give all the volunteers some major kudos. Many of them put in a lot of hours this week and the weeks coming up to this. They are the most awesome volunteers in NE. Lynn Mercier did one of the best jobs putting together our program. She deserves a Medal of Honor. Paul Lightner was the best go to guy we ever had. Thanks man. Isabelle Gregg fought off the heat and made sure every kid got registered and sent to the right group. Lois Harper did more than anyone knows. Great job. Thanks Rose for setting up the horse rides for Friday. That was cool. This VBS was pulled off with just a few problems but God gets the glory. Amen
