Tired

It has been a long and a short vacation. I still have one week left and it has been nice. I have needed a break like this. We went to a big AG church yesterday in Manchester, NH. It was a typical AG church. They just built a new building and it looks nice. It almost looks like a hotel from the outside. They had people greeting at the door and the pastor seemed to be gregarious. It seemed that people were not as friendly toward new comers than the church I went to last week. They sort of looked at me and my family but didn't say hi. The other church everyone said hi to you. They give you a bulletin and put the announcements on the overhead then proceed to read the announcements. I can't stand that. It is a waste of time. The service lasted for about an hour and a half or more.

I liked that they didn't take an offering but had offering boxes in the back for people to give. The seating was comfortable and the music bearable. Not the worst experience I have had at a church but I expected more out of them being a bigger church. Their children's ministry and nursery were good too. Our kids liked them. We are home this week because Lisa had to go back to work but I am still hanging out and plan on getting some stuff done around the house that I have not been able to get done. Hopefully get some golf in this week too.

I'll think of you this weekend when I read the announcements as they scroll behind me. You can never go wrong underestimating what people actually hear or see.

Except with grouchy people like you of course. :)

That's not my grouchy look. That is my "You looking at me" look.
