I took a trip to the New England Dream Center last week in Worcester, MA. I love being around people who have big vision. And these guys have mega-vision. They are so inspiring I was about to jump out of my skin. They have bought an old church building built around 1811. The place is huge. It took over an hour for me to see everything. It is located right in the middle of down-town Worcester. BTW, pronounced Woo-sta.
Their vision is to reach the hurting, the lost, the drug addict, the prostitute and the destitute of the city. Their grand opening will be in March. They have opened a food pantry, clothes pantry, building a craftsman shop, a youth room,(which is awesome), started a foster parent program, and have many other things in the works. It is amazing. Keep your eyes open for this ministry to become national anytime soon. It is patterned after the L.A. Dream Center started by Tommy and Matt Barnett.
Our church is getting in on the ground floor and we will be sending teams over regularly to help volunteer to do whatever they need. I am extremely excited about this.
